Individual Lessons

Weekly lessons on piano and violin are offered in 30-, 45-, or 60‑minute increments with flexible scheduling that fits seamlessly into your life. Build strong reading and technical skills that empower you to play the music you love. Our certified, knowledgeable teachers provide clear guidance and steady support as you work toward your personal goals. Tuition for 30-minute private lessons is only $145 per month, plus an annual $30 membership fee, which includes:

$99 Starter package

It's easy to get started. This special introductory rate covers your first 4 private lessons, your Annual Membership Fee ($30), and your first set of music books ($20) - a $195 value. There are no other commitments or fees, and you don't need an instrument at home to begin lessons.

Hovland Conservatory is dedicated to providing, protecting, and promoting classical music education for its life‑changing benefits and lifelong enjoyment. In support of this mission, Hovland offers comprehensive teacher training in The Conservatory Course for experienced teachers, music students, and piano or violin players of any level seeking employment, professional growth, or personal enrichment.


The Conservatory Course consists of Levels 0–9. Teachers and players may train through any level they choose, with Levels 0–3 providing the essential foundation for general pedagogical understanding.


certification BY LEVEL - $100 per level which includes materials.


  • Online classes introducing the philosophy and methodology of the course
  • One hour of individual guidance on the playing and teaching techniques required for that level
  • A certification assessment, including a written exam and an instrument‑specific performance evaluation
